An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced merchandise planner to join our rapidly growing team in a full time, permanent capacity.
Managing 3 key, high-growth markets you will be responsible for utilising your merchandise planning fundamentals to drive growth via a highly analytical and data driven approach.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work with the merchandise planning team to deliver trading actions, aligning the overarching business financial plans
2. Collaborate on budget plans and re-forecasts with senior stakeholders
3. Form and deliver product strategies to drive business growth
4. Ensure optimal stock levels to minimise overstocking, balancing profitability and customer satisfaction
5. Provide weekly summary of key performance indicators within departments of responsibility and the wider business, relating to sales, stock, profit, versus budget and last year
6. Ensure the correct balance of newness, repeat business, width, depth, pricing architecture, colour and category mix is planned
7. Build a balanced option plan to deliver the brand strategy taking into account the 3 key markets
8. Scenario modelling for key events to determine the sales potential taking into account relevant traffic estimates and assumptions
9. Perform ad hoc reporting as required by the business and across different business units
10. Develop short term and long term category strategies with the Buyer to maximise business trade
11. Maintain Clear As You Go Strategy to keep stock efficient
12. Assist in developing team capability and elevate performance across the merchandise planning function
13. Refine current systems and processes that are in place and be instrumental in implementing best practices
14. Minimum of 5 years experience in a Merchandise Planning role
15. Experience in Ecommerce is essential
16. Experience with planning software is preferred
17. Experience within a fashion retailer is preferred
18. Tertiary qualification with an emphasis in Retail, Business, or Finance is an advantage
19. Ability to communicate and influence at all levels in the business
20. Strong collaboration and teamwork focus
21. Good organisational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines and self-manage
22. Initiative in identifying opportunities and engaging the team to execute on these
23. Aptitude for numbers and an outstanding attention to detail
24. Resourceful in finding solutions to problems and creating efficiency
25. Ability to understand and use systems
26. Advanced Excel skills
27. Collaborate and build great relationship with Head of Product
