Job Overview
We are seeking a Casual Dairy Farmhand to assist with the daily milking of 500 dairy cows. The successful applicant will be responsible for monitoring animal health and welfare, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the milking area, and following all safety protocols and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the milking process, ensuring the health and well-being of the herd.
* Monitor animal health, identifying any issues or concerns and reporting them to management.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
* Follow established procedures and guidelines for milking, cow care, and equipment maintenance.
* Work effectively as part of a team, providing support and assistance when needed.
Requirements
* A strong work ethic and willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
* Ability to work at night and weekends, flexible schedule required.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks, such as lifting and carrying.
* Genuine interest in agriculture and animal husbandry.
