The Role
As a Relief Village Manager, you will step into various SIRROM sites to lead day‐to‐day operational delivery during leave coverage, peak periods or specific operational needs. You'll ensure the seamless continuation of:
* Accommodation operations
* Hospitality and catering services
* Village facilities and amenities
* Staff leadership and client relationships
You'll report to the Operations Manager and act as the key on‐site leader for safety, service excellence, and operational performance.
Key responsibilities include
* Oversee daily village operations across multiple remote sites
* Manage accommodation services, reservations, occupancy and allocations
* Lead housekeeping, grounds, administration and village services teams
* Coordinate rosters, staffing levels and stock control
* Maintain excellence across food services, accommodation and facilities
* Drive a strong safety culture across staff, contractors and residents
* Build and maintain professional relationships with site clients
* Monitor site performance, budgets, KPIs and compliance requirements
* Support maintenance programs and operational projects as required
This role suits someone who enjoys variety, can adapt quickly to new sites and is confident stepping in to keep village operations running smoothly.
To be successful in this role, you will have
* AU/NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident preferred
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior management role, preferably in:
* Remote village management
* Hospitality leadership
* Resources or facilities management
* Accommodation operations
* Strong leadership and people management capability
* Proven ability to run multi‐service operations to high standards
* Excellent communication, organisational and problem‐solving skills
* Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and operate autonomously
* Experience with village or accommodation management systems (or ability to learn quickly)
* Strong commitment to safety and compliance
* The ability to lead teams and maintain a positive site culture
Desirable / Highly Regarded
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Hospitality, Facilities, Leadership or Management
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
* Diploma of Leadership & Management
* White Card
* Forklift Licence
* Previous remote site inductions

* Approved Manager's Licence
* Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
