About the Role
Leidos Airborne Solutions Australia develops and delivers a national flying program on behalf of the Australian Border Force and provides 24/7 search‐and‐rescue support to the Australian Maritime Safety Authority. In the Airborne Solutions Operations Centre (ASOC), you will coordinate and support daily flying operations, manage aircrew rosters, and ensure exceptional operational outcomes across day/night service shifts.
Responsibilities
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the flying program, including aircraft maintenance coordination and aircrew management, and liaise with client organisations on operational requirements.
* Monitor and maximise operational performance and revenue within the scope of the role.
* Coordinate the recovery of aircraft breakdowns and manage other operational limitations that impact the aircraft flying program, including managing disruption and aligning client outcomes with aircrew and aircraft availability.
* Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with standard operating procedures and comply with all regulatory and legislative requirements.
* Proactively identify efficiency gains and continuously improve the role, perform other related tasks as required by the ASOC Manager, and work within the ASOC on a rotating day/night shift roster.
Qualifications
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong decision‐making ability in time‐sensitive environments.
* Tenacious problem‐solver who can work independently and as part of a team, and operate effectively and calmly under pressure.
* Aviation experience or training; experience in Operations or Crewing is desirable, with full training provided for the right applicant.
* Strong computer skills, including experience with the Microsoft Office suite, and a very high attention to detail.
* Proactive, driven and assertive mindset, with strong organisation and time management skills, a strong customer focus, adaptability to change, and the ability to resolve complex tasks in a dynamic environment.
* Australian Citizen required. Willing to obtain and hold a baseline or greater security clearance and an Executive Security Clearance (ESC).
