About the role
Training is an important part of what we do to ensure our workshop teams are working at the highest possible level. As part of our commitment to training we have a custom-built training facility in Yatala where we provide specialist training throughout the year.
To support the growth in the business we are looking for a second Technical Trainer to provide specialist technical training to our teams and customers in all aspects of heavy commercial vehicles and plant equipment. In this role you will be part of a team providing bespoke training at our training facility as well as onsite training across our dealerships in Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
Responsibilities include:
* Develop training materials and presentations for technical training programmes.
* Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions to employees and clients.
* Customise training content to meet the specific needs and skill levels of participants.
* Utilise a variety of instructional techniques and multimedia tools to enhance learning outcomes.
* Assess participant learning through quizzes, exams, and hands-on exercises.
* Provide feedback and coaching to participants to help them master technical concepts and skills.
* Collaborate with subject matter experts and other trainers to continuously improve training materials and delivery methods.
* Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure training content remains current and relevant.
* Maintain accurate records including records of training attendance, participant feedback, and programme evaluations and submitting training records to external providers as required.
* Assist with Apprentice inductions
* Assist with technical problems
* Remain up-to-date on all service bulletins and technical literature and communicating this as necessary
* Travel to branches to provide onsite training
About you:
* Experience in a similar role at a truck, car, machinery or agricultural dealership
* Truck mechanic qualification or any other mechanic qualification
* Problem-solver, customer-focused, team player, excellent communicator and strong leadership and organisational skills and intermediate computer skills
* Kenworth or DAF experience (desirable)
