The purpose of this position is to support participants with disabilities to achieve their goals and assist them to live as independently as possible.
This role consists of community access and supported independent living.
Shift work is essential.
Qualifications & experience

- Current CPR Certificate
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current Worker Screening Clearance
- Current Paid Blue Card
- Cert III in individual support preferred but not necessary
Tasks & responsibilities
- Provide support to participants with physical and/or intellectual disabilities
- Understand and provide appropriate care to participants with low needs to patients with high needs who demonstrate a range of challenging behaviors
- Assisting with activities relating to daily living, community support, and empowerment
- Work under general guidance from the person seeking support, and their family, within clearly defined guidelines
- Assist the client with everyday personal care needs
- Provide the client with support to do social activities in the community
- This job is for a casual position and you may be required to work days, afternoons, nights and weekends.
