The Role: Retail Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced Retail Supervisor or Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team in Alice Springs. This is a hands‐on supervisory role responsible for supporting day‐to‐day store operations, ensuring staff performance meets company expectations, and maintaining a high level of customer service.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a retail supervisory role and a desire to progress their career within the retail sector.
Key Responsibilities
The Retail Supervisor will be required to:
* Supervise daily store operations in line with company policies and procedures.
* Ensure staff follow safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
* Allocate duties to team members and monitor performance during shifts.
* Provide coaching, guidance, and support to employees to maintain service and sales standards.
* Assist with onboarding, training, and developing new team members.
* Monitor stock levels, organise merchandise displays, and support inventory control processes.
* Resolve customer enquiries and complaints professionally.
* Support the Store Manager with reporting, performance reviews, and achieving sales targets.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient store environment.
Skills
* Previous experience in a retail supervisory or team leader position – 1 to 2 years preferred.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage, motivate and develop team members.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
* High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining store presentation standards.
* Ability to work within rotating rosters, including weekends and public holidays when required.
* Competent computer literacy for administrative and reporting tasks.
* Ability to work well under pressure in a busy retail environment.
