About this role:
Our Australasian Port Services (APS) business is booming and now has a pivotal opening for an experienced leader to ensure the ongoing success of our team of Service Technicians. This is a lynchpin role supported by strong leaders who are dedicated to ensuring you have the right information, tools, resources and training to succeed.

Here's what you will be doing:
* Reporting to the National Operations Manager for Heavy Equipment; an individual held in high professional esteem at Adaptalift.
* Leading our team of 5 qualified Field Service Technicians dedicated to our APS business to ensure the seamless execution and quality assurance of scheduled and reactive maintenance plans across the customer base.
* Achieving productivity and profitability standards through effective scheduling and workflow management.
* Championing customer service by managing customer relationships to ensure a proactive and exemplary level of service delivery.
* Reporting on a range of service metrics and standards.
* Proactively monitoring and maintaining a safe workplace.
Here's what it takes:
* 5+ years of experience as a Service Manager, Service Supervisor, Field Operations Manager or Workshop Manager managing large teams of Mechanics. You have verifiable evidence of effectively managing people and building work environments that they enjoy belonging to.
* Military Technician Supervisory experience will be highly regarded, but not essential.
* Heavy equipment, such as plant machinery, agricultural, earth moving machinery or related heavy mechanical industry experience is a "must-have".
* Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Plant Mechanic or similar.
* Flexibility to switch between administrative responsibilities and get on the tools to help your team, when required.
* Competent computer skills, including experience with MS Office Suite.
* Full working rights in Australia.
