About the Role:
We're looking for a reliable and experienced Cook/ Domestic to join our team. This role is focused on preparing nutritious meals for station staff and visitors, while also assisting with domestic duties such as cleaning and maintaining shared living areas and guest rooms. If you're organised, practical, and enjoy variety in your day, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Always work safely and take responsibility for your own safe work practices.
* Prepare a variety of lunches and morning teas, and ensure they are laid out for staff.
* Ensure nutritious meals are prepared for station staff and visitors as required.
* Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and hygienic at all times.
* Create grocery lists and maintain adequate supplies.
* Maintain kitchen utensils and assist with meat packing for the kitchen.
* Clean guest rooms as required, including washing linen, making beds, vacuuming, mopping, and wiping surfaces.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Experience managing a kitchen and delivering meals on schedule.
* Understanding of dietary nutrition and food hygiene standards.
* Current driver's licence.
* Strong organisational skills, particularly in meal planning.
* Willingness to live and work in a remote location.
