About the role:
Our Technology group is seeking a Senior ICT Engineer to contribute to the growth and success of the team.
This role involves working within a dynamic multi-disciplinary team responsible for advising on and designing advanced technologies for modern, smart, and iconic projects across Australia. The successful candidate will coordinate with other disciplines and meet client needs.
We serve high-level, complex clients requiring integrated systems to support their operations, including State, Federal, Defence, Corrections, and Health sectors.
Building automation, IoT, Security, Audio-Visual, and emerging systems must be interconnected over robust infrastructure to enable communication and interoperability. We seek leaders in these fields to develop innovative design solutions shaping future work environments.
Day-to-day tasks include:
* Providing ICT design support for various offices and projects across Australia, including active/passive systems, infrastructure, carrier connections, and AV services.
* Preparing technical documents, specifications, drawings, tender calls, and supporting construction, testing, and commissioning.
* Maintaining strong client relationships and participating in business development.
* Supporting project engineers to ensure project success in terms of schedule, profitability, technical risk, and client satisfaction.
* Mentoring junior staff and supporting clients and internal teams with technical queries.
Requirements for success:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent training in networking, computer science, cybersecurity, etc.
* Customer-focused with the ability to provide bespoke solutions.
* Experience in designing and delivering structured cabling, fibre and copper backbone, MATV/IPTV, DAS, ICN, IP telephony, active networks, wireless design, digital signage, large-scale AV systems, data centers, and defence ICT (preferred).
* Knowledge of security systems (physical and cyber) is beneficial.
* Certifications like RCDD, CCNA, or CISSP are assets.
* Strong knowledge of industry standards (AS/NZ, IEC, ANSI/TIA, BICSI, IEEE, CSA, OBC, NBC).
* Current AGSVA Baseline clearance or ability to obtain (must be an Australian citizen).
* Excellent communication skills, innovative mindset, positive attitude, and ability to prioritize workloads.
