Role
Our Civil and Environmental Engineering team in Newcastle is seeking an experienced civil designer with experience across land development, built form and road networks. This role offers career growth and increase in responsibility, with input to landmark urban renewal projects as well as greenfield and infill land development projects.
Responsibilities
* Provide engineering design input to various landmark urban renewal projects, as well as greenfield and infill land development projects.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to manage project requirements.
* Contribute to road design, built form and land development components in NSW, focusing on the Hunter, Central Coast and Sydney regions.
Qualifications
* Upwards of 5 years of proven experience within engineering consultancies.
* Experience within the built environment.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications.
* Experience in road design (TfNSW and local Council infrastructure) highly desirable.
* Experience in 12D and AutoCAD packages.
* Experience in stormwater design highly desirable.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and goals autonomously.
* Understanding of local and state government regulatory frameworks and statutory compliance requirements.
* Excellent communication skills—clear, concise, and compelling in managing external consultants.
* Creative problem-solving skills to overcome challenges and obstacles.
* Strong team ethic and ability to work collaboratively across functional groups.
