**The Opportunity**
On behalf of a large Federal Government Agency, we are looking for multiple APS4 Payments Officers to join the team based in Richmond and Geelong. The role is a 12-month assignment working 37.5 hours per week, paying $44 per hour plus super.
The APS4 Payments Officers will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to investigate and resolve outstanding payment requests and process manual payments.
**Responsibilities include;**
- Investigating and resolving outstanding payment requests that have been rejected.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payment enquiries.
- Processing manual payments to providers and participants
- Working to resolve payment issues, guided by legislation, standards, and operating procedures.
- Contribute to decision-making within the team.
- Meet team and individual targets.
- Ensure knowledge of and compliance with legislative, financial, and administrative frameworks
- Maintaining an awareness of government decision-making processes, guidelines, and regulations
**To be considered for this role you will demonstrate;**
- Strong administration and data entry skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet targets/deadlines.
- Sound judgement, be able to work with a degree of independence.
- A flexible and responsive approach to the needs of stakeholders, both internal and external
- Strong IT skills
