This is not a remote working position and will be delivered fully on-site.
What you'll be doing
This position will support patients accessing MNC Virtual Care through the provision of screening, flow management, check‐in and general enquiries. It works with individuals and their families, health practitioners and communities to support patients and link them to health and other services. The role requires good skills in communication, identifying and solving barriers in access to care, collaborative problem‐solving and knowledge of referral to health services. The primary purpose of MNC Virtual Care is to reduce preventable admissions and decrease length of hospital stay through Urgent Care service delivery, early intervention, and care navigation to people identified as at risk of presentation and hospitalisation for low acuity conditions that can be safely managed over a virtual platform.
About You
You have completed a Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (or Allied Health Assistance) or have equivalent experience, such as at least one year of undergraduate Nursing or Allied Health training. Experience working as an Allied Health Assistant for 12 months or more is highly regarded. You communicate effectively with patients, carers and multidisciplinary teams, demonstrating strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. You are confident using a range of technology platforms and are willing to learn new systems. You apply critical thinking to support evidence- based care, work well under supervision within a multidisciplinary environment, and understand the importance of working within your scope of practice. A current unrestricted NSW driver's licence and willingness to travel during the workday are required.
