Based within the Ngunnawal Centre, this role focuses on engagement, retention, and student success through culturally safe, proactive support. Two positions are available at UC Level 5, offering a competitive salary plus superannuation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff and community stakeholders. – Represent the Ngunnawal Centre at University and community events, including Open Day, Career Expos and outreach activities. – Support Indigenous student engagement, retention and academic success. – Engage with students through a variety of channels, including face-to-face, phone, email and social media. – Coordinate and promote opportunities such as scholarships, awards and support services. – Contribute to a welcoming, culturally safe and supportive environment for students. REQUIREMENTS – Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identity (identified position). – Deep understanding of the issues relating to and affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. – Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. – Consistent, dependable and highly organised approach to work. – Strong commitment to student success and service delivery. – Ability to build meaningful relationships with students and colleagues. – Current ACT Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration, or ability to obtain one.
