Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
* Consult with clients regarding surface type, optimal paint options for high-rise buildings, and best painting solutions.
* Determine the amount and type of paint needed, materials required, and arrange for procurement within allocated resources.
* Perform industrial rope access work using rope access skills to complete paint jobs.
* Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes, washing surfaces, sealing cracks and corners, and ensuring moisture-free conditions.
* Use appropriate tools and materials to prepare surfaces for priming and painting.
* Paint various surface types, including windowsills, metal roofs, steel structures, beams, and building facades.
* Apply painting techniques to achieve desired outcomes for clients.
* Carry out restoration, rendering, installation, and maintenance work on building structures as needed before painting.
* Perform tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
* Prepare, remove, and clean up paint spills, dust, and other materials from the job site.
* Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
* Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (preferred).
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a trade painter and knowledge of the building repair and maintenance industry.
* Rope Access certification (any level) with minimum 3 years' experience as a rope access technician.
* A valid white card.
* Strong problem-solving skills to face unexpected challenges that arise.
* Good communication skills when working with technicians, contractors, suppliers, clients, building managers, engineers, etc.
* Strong commitment to completing projects on time and within budget.
