As a Duct Cleaner Labourer, you will assist in the cleaning, maintenance, and inspection of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) duct systems. You will work alongside technicians to ensure air ducts are free of dust, debris, mould, and other contaminants, contributing to safe and efficient air quality for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in setting up tools and equipment for duct cleaning jobs
* Perform manual labour including lifting, crawling, and using power tools
* Use vacuum systems, air compressors, and cleaning brushes to remove dust and debris
* Seal access panels and ensure all work meets safety and cleanliness standards
* Assist in inspecting duct systems before and after cleaning
* Clean and maintain tools, machines, and vehicles after jobs
* Follow OH&S guidelines and wear proper PPE at all times
* Maintain clear communication with team leaders
* Record completed work and report issues or damage
What we are Looking For:
* Physically fit and comfortable working in confined spaces, ceilings, and underfloor areas
* Experience with hand and power tools
* Ability to follow safety procedures and work independently or in a team
* Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
* Valid Australian driver's licence
* White Card (essential)
* Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable but Not Essential:
* Previous experience in duct or HVAC cleaning
* Working at heights licence
* Confined space licence
* Elevated work platform (EWP) ticket
Work Conditions:
* Indoor and outdoor environments
* Dusty, hot, or enclosed conditions
* Night work will be required for commercial jobs
* Some travel between job sites
