As a Therapy Assistant at Juniper, you will work closely with our Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to deliver high-quality therapy services that enhance the well-being and quality of life of our residents.
This permanent full-time role offers a 75-hour contract per fortnight, working Monday to Friday during regular business hours.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement programs tailored to the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional needs of our residents.
2. Support residents in maximising their abilities and encourage participation in daily activities.
3. Create a positive, engaging, and safe environment for all residents, with a focus on those requiring specialized dementia support.
4. Assist therapists in maintaining and improving residents' functional independence through targeted interventions.
5. Monitor and report on residents' progress during therapy sessions, providing feedback to therapists on intervention outcomes.
6. Evaluate care plans to ensure they meet evolving resident needs.
7. Maintain accurate records of therapy activities and outcomes for compliance and continuity of care.
Key Requirements:
1. Completion of a Therapy Assistant course is highly regarded.
2. Experience as a Therapy Assistant is highly valued.
3. Background in the Aged Care Industry, either community or residential, is desirable.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, residents, families, and service providers.
