The Motor Trade Association SA/NT (MTA) is the peak body representing the automotive retail, service and repair industry in South Australia and the Northern Territory. About the Role
The Application Support Analyst ensures that MTA staff have access to efficient, fit for purpose and up-to-date systems and applications, which operate reliably, securely, and in alignment with organisational requirements.
The role involves supporting, maintaining and upgrading current applications, assessing new applications for functionality and integration potential, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies across the entire application landscape. It also includes ensuring the effective operation, security, and optimisation of business systems, and delivering timely reporting to the Systems and Innovation Manager and leadership team on system performance, support requests, projects, and development activities.
What You Will Do
* Oversee and support business applications across GTO, RTO, MTA and corporate functions.
* Manage systems including learning management systems, recruitment platforms, HR and payroll systems, finance and ERP platforms, CRM, reporting tools and automation tools.
* Assist the Systems and Innovation Manager with operations, projects, vendor management and system strategy.
* Lead system improvements including new implementations, integrations, automation and reporting enhancements.
* Act as a super-user with strong understanding of procedures and system operations.
* Serve as the first point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving support requests.
* Manage relationships with external developers and service providers.
* Gather and document business requirements and process maps to support enhancements.
* Provide staff training using a train-the-trainer approach.
* Conduct data analysis and produce reports to support decision making.
* Prepare reports on system performance, supplier activity and project progress.
* Maintain internal documentation including knowledge bases and guides.
* Participate in system testing including UAT and regression testing.
* Support administrative functions such as meeting coordination and project documentation.
What You Will Bring
* Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
* Understanding of application support principles and IT service management.
* Knowledge of systems integration concepts including APIs.
* Awareness of cybersecurity principles and system security.
* Experience in requirements gathering and process mapping.
* Minimum three years experience in applications support, systems support or Level 2 support.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
* Experience working with structured incident, problem and change management.
* Ability to monitor system health and proactively address issues.
* Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
* Experience creating and maintaining documentation.
* Demonstrated ability to provide training and user support.
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred
* Experience with Dynamics 365 CRM, Power BI, PowerApps and SharePoint.
* Experience with ERP, HRIS, CRM, LMS and related corporate systems.
* Understanding of Agile or hybrid methodologies.
* Experience participating in or supporting end-to-end implementations.
* Familiarity with SQL Server, system deployments and release management.
* Knowledge of change management and exposure to VET or motor trade sectors.
