Speech Therapist Opportunity in Aboriginal Community Led Program
The role of a Speech Therapist in this innovative community-led program is to provide culturally responsive and high-quality speech therapy services for Aboriginal children, youth, and their families. This will involve providing assessment and therapeutic supports to National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants.
This position is based in Mparntwe (Alice Springs), with occasional remote travel required. As a Speech Therapist in this program, you will have the opportunity to work with diverse clients and contribute to the development of an innovative program that empowers children and young people through speech and language therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide culturally responsive and high-quality speech therapy services to Aboriginal children, youth, and their families
* Conduct assessments and develop therapeutic plans to support NDIS participants
* Build strong relationships with clients and the community
* Participate in professional growth and development opportunities to enhance clinical skills
What We Are Looking For:
* A Speech Therapist with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent qualification
* A practitioner who can build strong relationships with clients and the community
* Exceptional clinical and communication skills, a proactive attitude, and respect for diverse client backgrounds
