Essential Functions
Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes and outputs with accuracy and within established time frame and/or as requested.
Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.
Interacts with patients and their families effectively.
Helps patients with basic hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
Assists with repositioning patients in bed and transferring between bed and wheelchair.
Listens to and reports health concerns from patients to nurses.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No
Licenses and Credentials
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Generic - HR Only preferred
Experience
Patient Care Experience 0-1 year preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Understanding of patient care activities and hospital policies.
Effective communication with staff, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families.
