Overview
Service Technician role at BOC South Pacific, located in Canning Vale (WA), Australia.
This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of BOC-owned gas equipment / pipe at customer sites, ensuring all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
Mechanical maintenance of gas equipment on customer and BOC sites with a focus on medical, industrial, food, scientific and hospitality industries.
Minimize equipment downtime, enhance operational reliability, and uphold safety and customer satisfaction.
Refurbishment of cryogenic and gas vessels; installation and removal of equipment; calibration and testing of gas analyzers at customer and BOC sites.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting of equipment using mechanical fitting background.
Complete planned maintenance and breakdown tasks as required.
Conduct audits and inspections of equipment in line with codes and standards.
Work closely with local project management and sales teams and communicate with customers face to face and over the phone.
Qualifications
5 years of experience in plumbing or equipment servicing.
Plumbing or mechanical fitter qualification is desirable.
Hands-on experience in gas fittings, running copper piping, crimp fittings and brazing; servicing valves, pressure safety valves and regulators.
Gas fitting ticket is advantageous.
Strong mechanical aptitude with effective communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Willingness to attend remote mine sites occasionally.
Unrestricted driver''s license.
