Randstad is currently a preferred partner with a State Government organisation to recruit for the below role within the Education Sector:
Location: Box Hill VIC
Salary: $64 - $79 per hour + super
Contract role: 5-Months (Parental Leave Cover)
January 2026 start
About the Role
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, the successful candidate will support a specific portfolio of managers by providing financial information to inform key strategic and operational decisions. This role adopts a customer-centric approach to support core operations, priorities, and performance metrics while contributing to long-term financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-level financial reporting, budgeting, variance analysis, forecasting, and commercial advice.
* Partner with and support managers and executives to uplift financial capability within their portfolios.
* Develop and maintain complex portfolio costing models and produce monthly and ad hoc financial reports.
* Provide financial and commercial analysis for key projects, working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Partner with executives to support the management of up to $50m in staff salaries and $10m in capital expenditure.
Skills & Experience Required
* Degree qualified in accounting, business, commerce, or a related discipline.
* Substantial experience providing operational financial advice to management (essential) and strategic advice (highly desirable).
* High proficiency in financial systems and Excel.
* Experience with Technology One enterprise systems is highly desirable.
* Previous experience within the Education sector is a significant advantage.
* Exceptional attention to detail and a strong ability to communicate effectively across in-person and virtual mediums.
