The Role
This position offers a unique opportunity to assist job seekers with complex barriers to employment by conducting assessments, providing therapeutic interventions, facilitating groups and making recommendations to relevant services.
* Conduct thorough assessments of candidates with diverse disabilities and barriers to employment.
* Offer counseling intervention as needed, utilizing various psychological methodologies.
* Refer candidates to additional external support services to address barriers.
* Provide evaluations on assessments and monitor case progression.
* Liaise with medical professionals and community agencies on behalf of candidates.
* Provide training and guidance to staff on psychological services and procedures.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology with eligibility for registration with APHRA.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Counselling, or eligibility to gain membership with ACA/PACFA.
* Experience working within employment services is highly regarded but not essential.
* Knowledge of psychology assessment/intervention strategies.
* Exceptional communication, rapport-building skills and engagement.
* A proven ability to construct accurate and articulate case reports.
* Ability to work towards generating positive outcomes for clients.
* A Police Clearance (obtained within 6 months) and Work with Children's Check.
