Exciting opportunity fora highly experienced professional to lead a small team to coordinate thestrategic planning and advocacy for significant transport infrastructureoutcomes, for the municipality and also in relation to the North East Linkproject. Working collaboratively withkey stakeholders in our business and the community, you will engage, advocateand liaise with the various North East Link project authorities and contractorsand other relevant stakeholders to ensure transport objectives are archived inline with Council's Transport Action Plan 2021.

About the role
This roleis responsible for coordinating a team of professionals including the StrategicTransport Planner and three Project Officers who provide the interface betweenCouncil and the North East Link Project. Together this team deliver strategicplanning and advocacy for integrated transport, and represent councils'interest on the North East Link project.
Skills and experience
* Tertiary qualified inCivil Engineering, Transport Planning, Planning, Project Management (inInfrastructure) or other relevant field.
* Highly experienced inassessing large scale, complex transport infrastructure related projects.
* Experienced peopleleader who can also manage a complex portfolio with competing demands
* Able to engage andwork collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
* Flexible, agile andable to respond to changing priorities, to complete tasks within tighttimeframes and solve problems on the go.
* An expert in theworkings of state and/or local government.
* Experienced in dealingdirectly with the community on complex and sensitive matters.
