This is a remote-first position, with candidates based in Sydney or New South Wales who can attend occasional office visits for collaboration and planning sessions.
The Role
Senior Data & Software Engineer who is passionate about clean, scalable data engineering—someone who enjoys solving complex problems, building robust data pipelines, and working closely with a small but high-performing engineering team. This role will focus heavily on Python development, Snowflake pipelines, and data transformation, with the prospect to take ownership as the team expands.
What You’ll Be Doing
Designing and building data transformation pipelines in Snowflake using Python and dbt
Working closely with the Data Engineering Lead to define data architecture and best practices
Developing and maintaining data visualisation dashboards (Metabase, Tableau, or Power BI) for internal and customer-facing insights
Supporting the broader engineering team with backend data integrations and internal analytics
Owning data reliability, performance, and scalability as the platform evolves
What We’re Looking For
5+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer or Software Engineer with strong Python coding skills
Proven experience building or managing data pipelines and warehouses (ideally in Snowflake)
Exposure to cloud-based environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Metabase, Tableau, or Power BI
Why Join
Work for a rapid-growing, mission-led MedTech scale-up with a meaningful purpose
