About the Opportunity:
Due to an exciting internal movement, we are now seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance & Administration Officer to join our Adelaide based team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning their work, taking initiative, and being a trusted support across both finance and office operations.
You will take responsibility for the accounts payable function while also playing an important role in supporting the broader office and administration needs of the business. This is a hands-on role where your contribution will genuinely make a difference, within a workplace that values flexibility, trust, and teamwork. Full training and support will also be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance & Accounts Payable:
* Take end-to-end ownership of the accounts payable function, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time.
* Review and enter supplier invoices while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Manage invoice approval workflows and liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure timely approvals.
* Perform regular bank reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies efficiently.
* Support and assist with weekly payrun processes (completed on Friday afternoons).
* Assist and undertake any other finance related duties, as needed.
Office & Administration:
* Coordinate onboarding of new employees, including documentation, system access and general office setup.
* Act as the key point of contact for liaising with the external IT service provider, assisting with day-to-day IT requirements.
* Manage office stationery, supplies and purchasing to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
* Provide general administrative support to the wider team and assist with continuous improvement of office processes.
To be successful in this role you will have:
* A minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction industry (however not mandatory).
* Demonstrated experience working across the Accounts Payable process.
* Exposure to ERP systems, preferably Jonas Premier, however not essential.
* Sound skills and experience across MS office (Word, Excel, PP and Outlook).
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
* Confident, professional and friendly written and verbal communication skills.
* A proactive mindset with strong initiative and problem-solving ability.
* The ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and work autonomously.
