Airside equipment sales engineer is responsible for driving sales and expanding Smardt's market presence for Airside equipment. This role will focus on identifying profitable sales opportunities for Airside equipment in VIC/TAS.

This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of HVAC (Airside) Knowledge capable of driving growth and delivering exceptional service to various types of clients.

The successful candidate will build and maintain strong relationships with mechanical contractors, consultancies, and direct clients, ensuring Smardt /TICA is the brand of choice in the sector. This role offers a mix of engaging with both existing and new clients and provides unlimited growth potential.


Main Duties / Responsibilities

Promote and sell Smardt Air /TICA Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs ) & Fan Wall Units (FWU) across VIC&TAS.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to increased market share Work closely Consultants, Contractors and end users to secure deals.

Collaborate with colleagues to promote and sell Smardt/TICA chillers and heat pumps

Conduct engaging product presentations to highlight the features, benefits, and advantages of Smardt Air/TICA AHUs and FCUs .

Understand client requirements and provide tailored solutions to meet their HVAC needs effectively.

Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring consistent communication and support throughout the sales process.

Work with internal teams to develop compelling proposals and presentations tailored to client specifications.

Coordinate with factory and service teams to ensure smooth project execution, timely delivery, and high client satisfaction.

Support team members in achieving collective sales and operational goals.

Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

Leverage market insights to identify emerging opportunities and develop actionable sales plans.

Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activities, and opportunities in the company's CRM system.

Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates to the Regional Sales Manager .

Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Perform regular housekeeping tasks to maintain a professional and organized work environment.

Undertake additional duties as required to support business objectives.


Key Selection Criteria


Role & Qualification Requirements

* Demonstrated experience in sales or account management within the HVAC industry, specifically with airside equipment such as AHUs, FCUs, Fan Wall Units .
* Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, including design, functionality, and compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Business, or a Diploma in Refrigeration (preferred but not mandatory).
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build, nurture, and maintain strong client relationships.
* Proven ability to deliver impactful presentations, negotiate effectively, and tailor communication to diverse stakeholders.
* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, supporting and collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared objectives.
* Proficient in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Possess a valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory to meet client and business needs.
