The Broome Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI) is seeking a local, creative and highly motivated Events Officer to join our amazing team. You will be part of our supportive peak advocacy organisation driving meaningful economic development and supporting a strong local business network.
About the Role
You will assist the planning and delivery of all Broome Chamber events, ensuring sponsorship and ticket sale targets are met.
This role suits a passionate, fun and creative individual who loves organising high quality beautifully designed events and enjoys consistently engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders including sponsors.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Events and Marketing Manager with all event logistics including the production of event resources (programs, merchandise, etc) and promotional materials
* Monitor event budgets, seek sponsorship and drive ticket sales to achieve targets
* Assist in the development of event impact reports
* Coordinate and maintain consistent approaches of promotional methods
* Create event graphics using Canva
* Perform all other duties as requested by the Events and Marketing Manager and CEO
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in event coordination, event promotion and graphic design
* Strong communication skills
* Fundraising experience
* Familiarity with tools like Canva and Glue Up
* Great attention to detail and creative flair
* A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, fun, small-office environment
* A passion for supporting local and regional business in the Kimberley
Role Details
* Location: Broome (office-based only – no remote work)
* Salary: $60,000–$70,000 + Super (commensurate with experience)
* Hours: Part-time (Days and hours negotiable with overtime after hours expected for events)
* Start: Immediate or negotiated start date
