We are looking for a dedicated Procurement Officer to join our team assisting our Pipe Crew Teams across South East Queensland and Northern NSW. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting project teams, building supplier relationships, and ensuring efficient, cost-effective material sourcing. The ideal candidate is someone looking to transition off the tools into an office-based role or someone already in the industry seeking a new challenge.
Key Responsibilities
* Research and compare suppliers, strategically source materials, ensuring compliance with SEQ Standards and construction drawings.
* Estimate material quantities and provide detailed quantity take-offs for accurate procurement for sewer, water and stormwater construction.
* Manage procurement across multiple projects, prioritising tasks and ensuring timely delivery in line with project timelines.
* Build and maintain strong supplier and stakeholder relationships while capitalising on cost-saving opportunities.
* Support project teams with administrative tasks, coordinating purchase orders, track daily costs, and resolve procurement queries efficiently.
About You
* Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and process-driven
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
* Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
* Previous experience in the civil construction industry is highly regarded, but not essential
* Current driver's license with reliable transport
