Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Manager to join our team in a maintenance role. In this position, you will be responsible for coordinating tasks, repairs, and inspections for residential properties. You will also assist with general upkeep and handyman tasks, including minor repairs and installations.

Your duties will include:

* Coordinating maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections for residential properties
* Assisting with general upkeep and handyman tasks, including minor repairs and installations
* Implementing and adhering to EHS procedures, ensuring the safety of all residents, visitors, and contractors
* Communicating effectively with residents to address maintenance requests promptly and efficiently
* Collaborating with external contractors to ensure timely completion of work orders
* Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and updating databases accordingly
* Assisting with various ad-hoc duties where required, as directed by the Village Manager


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* Demonstrated competence as a maintenance assistant or handyperson, or experience in a similar role
* Be organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks
* Understanding of machinery use and tools required for the job
* Ability to identify and conduct reactive and preventative general maintenance in homes
* A high level of understanding and commitment to EH&S and safety standards
* Take pride in your workmanship
* An exceptional respectful nature
* Currently hold an Australian Drivers Licence
* A current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain one)
* Computer literate, with basic knowledge of using Excel, Word, Outlook, and Apps
* The ability to take initiative and be proactive
* The ability to work individually and in a team
