The Opportunity
The Architecture and Technical Lead is responsible for leading both the ICT architectural and technical service capabilities within Legal Services, including leading and mentoring the Information Services operations team members.
This role will provide technical expertise for the design, procurement, implementation and management of solutions and services as a key contributor to the development and implementation of the technology roadmap.
The incumbent will engage collaboratively with service providers, managing the operational relationships to ensure effective delivery of services and successful implementation of changes. They will liaise with team members and stakeholders to promptly analyse and resolve ICT incidents and problems.

Salary Range
$121,107 to $125,107 salary plus 12% super and leave loading.
Please note: An Enterprise Agreement has been proposed with voting to take place in early February 2026, for further information please speak to Human Resources on As a not-for-profit organisation, Legal Services is able to offer its employees attractive salary sacrifice arrangements, including up to $15,900 pre-tax Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) year for general living expenses.
Term of Employment
24 month contract at the ASO8 classification level.
What You Need For Success
The ideal candidate will have:
* Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, to align ICT solutions with business needs.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft on premise and cloud technologies.
* Solid knowledge of Azure architecture, networking, identity, and governance.
* Strong understanding of VMware ESXi, vCenter, clusters, and virtual networking
Experience in:
* leading architecture across infrastructure, applications, cloud services, backup services, and integration in enterprise ICT environments.
* developing and maintaining technology roadmaps, standards, and architectural patterns.
* working with managed service providers and external partners delivering ICT operations and support.
* managing vendor performance, service levels, change and contractual obligations in external service provider managed environments.
* designing secure, scalable solutions that meet South Australian government cybersecurity and data protection requirements.
* leading technical operations or service delivery teams in complex ICT environments.
* translating business requirements into solution designs and technical specifications.
* working within ITIL aligned service management environments.
* managing complex technical issues, escalations, and problem resolution.
