Warehouse assistant (bayswater)

Located in Perth, Di Candilo Steel City is a privately-owned company specialising in steel supplies and steel processing. Our purpose built facilities house the latest machine cutting technology including laser, HD plasma and profile. With a 50 plus robust skilled workforce, we are the preferred choice for all things steel, retail, wholesale, and manufacturing.

We supply a broad range of steel products to a variety of industries. A vast majority of these steel supplies are used in mining, fabrication, manufacturing, construction, agricultural and other support areas. We are also one of the few steel suppliers in Perth who still service the retail market for the tradesman, small fabricator, or do-it-yourself weekend warrior.

We are currently looking for a warehouse assistant to join our team on a full-time basis.

Key responsibilities will include

• Loading and unloading trucks
• Machine operation (guillotine, laser, profile or plasma)
• Consolidating jobs
• General store person duties
• Operation of hand tools and material handling
• Overhead crane operation including mechanical and magnetic aids, loading/unloading beds
• General labouring, manual handling (pick packing, manual container unloading, put away, inventory control)
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area

About You

• Good organisational skills, problem-solving ability and capable of prioritising workload
• Flexible and cooperative team attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Responsible and reliable with a good level of fitness
• Preferred experience: Warehouse – 1 year

Required

• Forklift licence (current)
• Valid Driver's licence
• Work authorisation: Australia (required)

What we offer

• Fulltime hours, 7.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday and 7.30am - 12pm Saturdays
• A fulltime, permanent position with weekly pay, penalty rates and regular overtime
• Training, development, and advancement opportunitiesPay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7.30am - 5.00pm; 7.30am - 12pm Saturdays
• Supplementary Pay: Overtime pay, Penalty rates
