The Shire of Ashburton is currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Pound Keeper to join our team in Tom Price.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Shire's pound facility. This includes caring for, grooming, and managing animals, as well as maintaining a clean and safe environment through general cleaning and facility upkeep.
You will be reporting to the Coordinator Ranger Services and will play a vital role in promoting responsible pet ownership and ensuring the wellbeing of animal in our care.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in making a positive impact, and has a genuine love for animals. While previous experience in a similar role will be viewed favourable, it is not a requirement. We welcome applicants who demonstrate enthusiasm, dependability and a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Please note that the position involves routine use of cleaning products and chemicals, as part of maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for both animals and staff.
