We are seeking a qualified and experienced Underground Mine Surveyor to support underground mining operations.
In this role, you will deliver precise survey data to guide mining activities, ensure alignment with mine plans, and assist in underground development efforts.
Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor / Mine Planning Superintendent, you will work closely with technical and operational teams to deliver accurate survey data and support ongoing mine planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out and maintaining accurate underground mine surveys
* Delivering essential spatial data to inform mine planning and daily operations
* Establishing and maintaining survey control for mining and exploration work
* Keeping mine plans and survey records updated and compliant
* Working closely with engineers, geologists, and operations teams to maximise efficiency
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree in Surveying or equivalent tertiary qualification
* Minimum 2-5 years' experience in underground metalliferous/hard-rock mining
* Strong commitment to safe work practices and statutory compliance
* Experience with Deswik and Leica hardware
* Strong knowledge of mining legislation and compliance standards.
* Proven ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and remain calm under pressure
* Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* Current manual driver's licence
