We are seeking a Residential Services Assistant to join our team in delivering high-quality, person-centred care and enriching the daily lives of our residents. As part of our Transitional Aged Care Program (TACP), you will play a vital role in supporting older individuals regain independence and functionality following a hospital stay.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be reliable and responsible in their work, and demonstrate genuine compassion and empathy for older individuals. They will also be able to work collaboratively as part of a team and support others in achieving shared goals.
* Key Responsibilities:
o Assist the care team and domestic assistants with daily care routines
o Support residents during mealtimes and contribute to meal preparation
o Help residents transfer safely to and from appointments
o Engage with residents during community outings and group activities
o Collaborate with allied health and nursing staff to support transitional aged care services
Requirements:
* Relevant Certificate or equivalent experience
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Genuine compassion and empathy for older individuals
* A reliable, responsible approach to your work
* A team-focused attitude and willingness to support others
