Looking to support our fortnightly payroll function and provide a timely and seamless payroll service to our employees? With a keen eye for detail and strong numeracy skills, you will play a vital role in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time.

We are seeking an experienced and professional Payroll Officer who has exceptional numeracy, attention to detail and customer service skills. You are passionate about your profession and enjoy the rewards of a good challenge.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Delivering the accurate and timely delivery of payroll functions in accordance with legislation, awards, agreements, and policy;
- Providing high quality administrative and systems support in an efficient and timely manner;
- Providing a high standard of customer service and support to both internal and external clients;
- Support End of Year processes;
- Calculate and process termination payments;
- Process salary changes, position changes and manage employee records;
- Data entry and extraction for employee details, rostering and time sheets;
- Maintain systems support including managing content for website and intranet; and
- Support business improvement processes.

**To be successful you will have**:

- Certificate IV in in Payroll Administration, Business, HR or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience working in a high-volume end-to-end payroll environment and well-developed understanding of payroll practices including experience using ERP systems;
- Experience working in an administrative based role;
- Experience in payment summary processing, reconciliations and month end processing;
- Experience in payroll compliance and interpreting industrial instruments including Awards and Enterprise Agreements;
- Knowledge of superannuation legislation;
- Knowledge of workers compensation requirements;
- Knowledge and ability to administer payroll and workforce management systems;
- Excellent organisational, time management and administrative skills, with a proven ability to effectively prioritise tasks to meet strict deadlines;
- Capacity to work autonomously and independently with high work ethics;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills; and
- Ability to handle sensitive material/issues with tact and strict confidentiality.
- As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to complete a drug and alcohol test.

**The finer details**

This permanent full-time Level 4 position attracts a salary range of $79,213 - $85,172 gross per annum dependent on qualifications and experience. Part time work may be considered for 4 days a week. Due to the nature of work, it is essential that applicants are flexible in being able to work after hours during payroll weeks as and when required.
