Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join our dynamic team at North Queensland Land Council (NQLC). The organisation is a recognised Native Title Representative Body for its region, representing approximately 38,000 Aboriginal traditional owners and residents.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting financial operations, including the fortnightly processing of payroll, accounts payable and receivable, bank and credit card reconciliation, and purchasing. This role requires accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
We are looking for a candidate who possesses strong time management skills, ability to meet deadlines, and technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with cloud-based ERP software is highly regarded.
A key responsibility of the role will be to demonstrate a sensitivity and understanding of current Indigenous issues and aspirations and be able to effectively communicate with Indigenous Australians.

About the Role
This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer/Human Resources Manager and works alongside finance professionals within a broader multidisciplinary team.
