Responsibilities
* Lead faculty planning, whole school programs, and develop effective relationships with students, staff and the wider community.
* Provide educational leadership in achieving successful outcomes for all students, including High Potential Gifted Education (HPGE).
* Work with the senior leadership team and provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development to faculty staff.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must meet teacher training and academic qualifications. Specific selection criteria:
* Approval to teach years 7-12 English.
* Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated educational leadership in achieving outcomes for all students, including HPGE.
* Proven ability to work with senior leadership and provide mentorship, guidance and professional development.
General selection criteria:
* Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
* Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs.
* Educational leadership skills to build capacity and manage performance of individuals and teams.
* Well developed communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
* Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
* Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.
