Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Avionics/Mechanical
We're looking for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers with practical rotary-wing maintenance experience to step into the role of
Instructor - Delivery and Assessment
in
Townsville
on either a full-time or part-time basis.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to train and inspire the next generation of aircraft maintenance engineers, including those working on the
AH-64E Apache helicopters
. You'll independently lead theory and practical instruction within your trade stream while providing exceptional support to students and stakeholders.
No instructor experience? No problem
. While previous training or mentoring experience will be highly regarded, it's not essential – just bring your technical knowledge, growth mindset, and passion for aviation.

These roles offer a unique opportunity to teach our next generation of aircraft maintenance engineers, including developing training materials and practical activities for them.
You will be offered variety and autonomy and will be able to demonstrate your ability to be highly organised and proactive, as well as a strong problem-solver with an aptitude for fostering effective relationships with students as you take them on their learning journey.
Practical rotary-wing aircraft maintenance experience.
Diploma of Aeroskills (Mechanical or Avionics) preferred; Certificate IV in Aeroskills will also be considered.
Current CASA category B1 or B2 licence will be highly regarded, along with experience in a training or mentoring role.
Willingness to learn, grow and obtain a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Ability to work both autonomously and within a small, close-knit team.
Well-developed problem-solving skills and strong organisation skills.
Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for aviation.
Experience working in the aviation industry, preferably at least 3 years.
