The Department of Primary Industries and Regions is seeking a professional to support the drought resilience planning and decision-making packages with farmers and advisors across SA.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the development and delivery of events and projects for drought resilience planning and decision-making packages with farmers and advisors across SA.
* Engage effectively with stakeholders to build capability and increase resilience through sharing of information and understanding of effective farm management mechanisms.
* Organise, plan, and report on events and projects led on behalf of the drought hub.
The successful candidate will possess proven event and project management skills, leadership and teamwork capabilities, and understanding and communicating key functions of the drought hub.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building strong relationships with government, industry, and farming stakeholders. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and lead by example is also crucial in this role.
In addition, the candidate should have experience in project coordination, budgeting, and resource allocation. They should also be able to analyze data and develop reports to support the achievement of project goals.
