Join the team at Gold Coast Private Hospital as an Endoscopy Scope Cleaner. We're looking for experienced professionals to bring their skills to our Day Surgery Unit on a casual basis. As a member of our team you will play an important role, in providing high quality service to theatres and other clinical areas. Established in 2016, Gold Coast Private Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 340-bed facility located in the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct in Southport.
With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

As the Endoscopy Scope Cleaner, your responsibilities will include:
o Ensuring the standards of sterilising practice and infection control are always followed
o Reprocessing and storage of reusable flexible scopes and accessories
o Cleaning and maintaining automated endoscope reprocessing machines and endoscope drying cabinets
o Maintaining accurate documentation in all phases of cleaning and storage of scopes and accessories
o Inspect and/or test instruments /equipment for cleanliness, dryness and damage prior to further processing
o Ability to prioritise washing and reprocessing of equipment based on theatre list utilization and demand
o Endoscope reprocessing and/or experience in a sterilising environment desirable.
o Knowledge of HICMR and GENCA standards, infection control and WHS requirements or willingness to learn
o Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
o Good communication & problem-solving skills
o Ability to be team player and work autonomously when needed.
o Must be reliable/dependable
o Flexible with shift times – Monday-Friday and occasional weekends
