We are seeking a high-calibre Analyst / Junior Associate to join our Founders & Sponsors Group in Sydney, working across human services, technology, financial services, healthcare and general industrial companies throughout Australia and New Zealand.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior advisers on a broad range of strategic advisory and M&A transactions, supporting founders, corporates and financial sponsors.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on role within a senior-led advisory team. You will support transaction execution and strategic advisory work while developing strong technical and commercial capabilities.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Preparation and review of financial models
* Valuation analysis and reporting (DCF, trading comps and transaction comps)
* Company and sector research across the Australian and New Zealand commercial landscape
* Preparation of client-ready materials including pitch books, investment memoranda and board presentations
* Supporting transaction execution including due diligence coordination, data room management and analysis of transaction materials
* Working closely with senior advisers and gaining exposure to clients, founders and sponsors
Candidate Requirements
* 1–3 years' experience in investment banking, corporate finance, consulting, accounting, private equity, financial due diligence or a related advisory role
* Strong analytical and financial modelling capability, with ability to produce 3-way financial models
* Experience executing and/or supporting M&A, capital raisingor valuation assignments
* Ability to produce high-quality research and presentation materials to tight deadlines
* Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Familiarity with financial databases and research platforms, including experience using AI / LLM tools to support research and analysis
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
* Relevant tertiary qualification (bachelor or higher), in one or more of finance, commerce, economics, engineering or related disciplines
* Australian work rights and willingness to travel as required
