We are seeking a Night Shift Team Leader to lead our maintenance team at our Bendigo workshops.
Job Description
This is a full-time role working on a rotating night shift roster, with weekday and weekend shifts included. As the first point of contact for workers under your supervision, you will provide guidance and assistance as required. You will be responsible for leading by example, mentoring other staff and ensuring that all team members work safely, productively and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Providing support and guidance to other staff members
2. Leading by example and setting high standards of workmanship
3. Mentoring other staff and identifying areas for improvement
4. Communicating with estimators to ensure a full understanding of projects
5. Troubleshooting issues on the project
Skills and Qualifications:
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A mechanical or electrical trade background
* Prior experience supervising/leading a team
* Prior experience in a workshops environment
* Experience in heavy equipment is preferred but not essential
* Rail industry background highly regarded but not essential
Our workshop is classified as a rail site, and we have zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol. All employees are required to be drug and alcohol free at all times, and random testing is conducted. Additional requirements include:
* Hold a current Victorian drivers licence
* Hold a current forklift licence and be an experienced user
* Hold a current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
