Offer description

At Believe Housing Australia (part of the AnglicareSA family), our mission is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a safe, affordable and secure place to call home. Here, your work goes beyond bricks and mortar. You'll join a passionate crew committed to addressing one of the most pressing challenges of our time: housing insecurity. Our work is complex and the challenges we face are significant, but the rewards are unparalleled. Every day, you'll help us find innovative solutions that make a lasting impact. You'll help people find not just a house, but a place they can truly call home. Join us at Believe Housing Australia and help create brighter futures, together.

As a Casual Tenancy Officer, you'll step in to support our permanent team across various portfolios - providing high-quality tenancy and property services that support our tenants to sustain their tenancies and remain connected and engaged. This is a casual, as-needed role where you work full-time hours during cover periods (usually 1–6 weeks at a time), with gaps in between where you may not be required. Reliability and the ability to commit to these full-time cover periods across various service areas is essential. This role is perfect for someone with a background in property management or community housing who is now looking for flexible, ad-hoc work with social impact – ideal to balance alongside travel, study, or other commitments.

What you'll do

* Stepping in to deliver tenancy and property management services when permanent staff are unavailable
* Conducting inspections and coordinating necessary follow-up to maintain property standards
* Building rapport with tenants and identifying those needing additional support
* Assisting with lease sign-ups, renewals and sustaining tenancies
* Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery across teams

What you'll bring

* Previous experience in property management, community housing, or related field
* Understanding of tenancy legislation and property maintenance standards
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build quick rapport with tenants
* Flexibility and availability to work on a casual, ad-hoc basis
* We would also love you to have:
o Experience supporting vulnerable individuals or working in social housing
o Confidence navigating systems, inspections and tenancy documentation
o A positive, team-oriented approach and strong communication skills
