About The Opportunity
As a Technical Safety Officer, you will provide scientific and technical services related to chemical and radiation safety, ensuring legislative compliance and best practices.
You will support development and review of procedures, offer practical advice, assist with training, inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
Using your experience and judgement, you will advise on health and safety matters, working closely with the Technical Advisor – Chemical Safety and Senior Physicist.
About You
To be successful, you will require a relevant tertiary qualification in physical or natural sciences or demonstrated equivalent competency.
You should have experience, knowledge, and commitment to chemical, and/or laboratory safety practices, with a willingness to expand your skillset into radiation safety management.
Additionally, you will need knowledge, interpretation, and application of relevant work health and safety State and Commonwealth legislation and best practices from a university perspective.
Requirements
