**The Role**
We have an unique opportunity for an experienced Employee Relations Adviser to join our Perth office located in Northbridge. Reporting to the Employee Relations Manager, you will contribute to all aspects of employee relations and industrial relations across our various sectors including industrial instrument compliance, policy development, agreement making, and dispute resolution. The role is diverse and fast paced, and some of your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating the continuous improvement of existing and new policies and procedures to provide cost savings and reduce risk to our business
- Creating and maintaining employment contract templates and schedules of site terms and conditions, and coordinating our annual enterprise agreement/modern award adjustments
- Supporting the HR Services team, HR Managers and operational Leaders through the development of standard ER tools, systems and processes
- Gathering information and assisting in the preparation of responses to support matters before Fair Work Commission and other industrial tribunals
- Providing project management support for large scale agreement making
- Co-ordinating high-volume employee representative and Union enquiries and claims in respect of enterprise bargaining
- Provide support in dealing with low level workplace relations issues
- Support leaders and internal stakeholders with basic bid and tender documentation from a Workplace Relations perspective
**The Person**
You will be Tertiary qualified in either HR, ER, Commerce, Law or a related discipline with experience gained in industrial relations in a rapid-paced environment such as Mining, Heavy Industry, Transport or similar. Previous exposure to a variety of enterprise agreements and modern awards and a sound understanding of the Fair Work Act including the NES will be required, along with strong numerical capability including good MS Excel skills and well-developed analytical capability. You will have the ability to work both independently and in close collaboration with your manager and have a desire to build relationships across geographical boundaries within a close-knit national HR team. Legal training in workplace relations would be highly desirable
