National account manager - coles (essendon fields)

SPC is seeking an experienced FMCG National Account Manager to join our team and manage our key COLES account.

As a National Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and develop new products to grow market share.

You will possess exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, enabling you to forge strong partnerships with our key customers and stakeholders.

• Take full accountability for COLES.
• Develop and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders within COLES and internally.
• Manage and grow existing customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Own the sales delivery versus budget, implementing strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Contribute to the team culture and help assist in the development of team members.
• Drive the development and execution of joint category plans in collaboration with key accounts.
• Effectively manage account and stay within budget constraints.
• Monitor and analyse spend management, identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
• Ensure alignment with company objectives, market trends, and customer expectations.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and analyses to identify areas for improvement and growth.
• Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in account management role within the FMCG industry, particularly with major retailers like COLES & WOOLWORTHS.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
• Understanding of category management and promotional strategies.
• Ownership of sales targets and problem solving to deliver.
• Able to engage and build relationships with a diverse range of key contacts across multiple levels of the industry.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
• Positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and grow within the team and business.
