Warehouse Operative Role
We are seeking a motivated Warehouse operative to join our dynamic and fast-paced team in Darwin.
This position offers variety, with responsibilities across warehouse operations, administration duties, customer service, and sales support.
Working in a busy warehouse and fabrication environment, you'll often be in proximity to moving vehicles and machinery.
Applicants should be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to seasonal weather conditions and a range of surface types.
About the Job
This role involves receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming stock in line with purchase orders.
You will also pick, assemble, and package orders for dispatch.
Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely is an essential part of this job.
You will use inventory systems to manage stock and support warehouse operations.
Create skids and pallets according to packing requirements.
Assist customers entering the warehouse in a professional manner.
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organisation within the workspace.
Participate in regular inventory counts and provide general team support.
Frequent physical tasks including walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 27kg are required.
Respond to product and service inquiries.
Manage phone and email orders, including client follow-ups.
Upsell products and identify new sales opportunities.
Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and accurate customer records.
Support showroom setup and prepare documentation for large orders.
Key Requirements
* Australian C Class Driver's Licence
* Construction Card
* Forklift Licence
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy
* Working knowledge of warehouse operations and safety protocols
* Strong communication and customer service abilities
* Ability to read, write, and complete documentation clearly and accurately
* Familiarity with different materials and standard units of measure
* Capacity to identify when equipment requires maintenance or repair
* Team player with a can-do attitude and strong multi-tasking abilities
