Lead Mathematics Faculty to Excellence
We are seeking an exceptional educational leader to head our Mathematics faculty. This is a key role in shaping the student learning experience, leading curriculum, pedagogy, assessment, and teaching practices.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record as an outstanding teacher with a minimum of 5 years' experience. They will have expertise in mentoring and coaching to build trust amongst students, parents, and staff, with a focus on improving and aligning pedagogical practices within the middle and senior years.
This leadership position requires a collaborative approach, fostering a positive and dynamic environment that drives academic achievement, creativity, and innovation.
Beyond curriculum leadership, this role inspires and equips teaching staff to create engaging classrooms where students are challenged, supported, and motivated to excel.
The Head of Faculty – Mathematics plays a vital role in elevating academic achievement, fostering a culture of curiosity and excellence, and ensuring that every student thrives in a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
Key selection criteria include:
* A current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
* Minimum 5 years proven record as an outstanding teacher.
* Experience with mentoring and coaching to build trust amongst students, parents, and staff.
* Excellent influencing and conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and fostering collaboration for consistent outcomes.
