About the role
As the Duty Manager at McGuire Hotels' Marsden Tavern, you will be responsible for the effective running of the hotel during your shifts. In this full-time role, you will oversee all hotel operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and a positive experience for our customers. Based in the Southern Suburbs & Logan of Brisbane, QLD, you will work closely with the Hotel Manager to achieve the hotel's strategic goals.
What you'll be doing
* Managing daily hotel operations and overseeing all departments, Retail, on premise food and beverage
* Resolving any customer issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner
* Ensuring the hotel's high standards of cleanliness, presentation and service are maintained at all times
* Supporting the Hotel Manager in the implementation of new policies, procedures and initiatives
* Monitoring staff performance and providing coaching and feedback as needed
* Handling financial responsibilities such as cash management and reporting
* Assisting with the recruitment, training and development of the hotel team
What we're looking for
* Significant experience in a similar Duty Manager role within the hospitality industry
* A strong understanding of hotel operations and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
* Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in using hotel management software and point-of-sale systems
* A flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
* A passion for the hospitality industry and a desire to contribute to the success of the hotel
